The project includes working in conjunction with the Village of Depew Department of Public Works (DPW) personnel performing complementary work, to upgrade the existing emergency backup generator to a new, larger unit and reconfigure the existing electrical service room equipment to supply emergency backup power to all three existing power distribution panels versus current configuration of only the ex-isting Panel #1 being backed up. The scope is to ultimately provide emergency backup power to the entire building as well as provide backup capacity for future circuit addition(s). The Village of Depew is an exempt organization under the Tax Law and is exempt from payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and cities and counties of the state on all materials which are to be incorporated into the project, pursuant to the provisions of the contract.
