Renovation of a mixed-use development in Nephi, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The HIVE is an 80,500 square foot multipurpose sports complex in Nephi City that houses four basketball courts, six volleyball courts, bleachers, and a turf field with netting to accommodate batting, pitching, and golf practice. The Hive is jointly owned by Nephi City and Juab School District (collectively "Owners") and is located at 630 East Wasp Way (700 North) immediately to the south of Juab Junior High School. General Scope of Services :The Owners are seeking a licensed contractor to install a cooling system in the fieldhouse portion of the Hive, which is about 70% of the square footage of the building. Ideally, the cooling system will be able to do the following: 1. Maintain a temperature as low as 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the building during the warmer months and when the building is fully occupied; 2. Be user friendly from an operational standpoint (eg. can be operated remotely from a cell phone or other electronic device); and 3. Integrate with or replace the existing heating system in the fieldhouse portion of the Hive. Proposals should include the operational capabilities of the cooling system. Additionally, proposals should identify all accompanying work that needs to be completed for the cooling systems to be fully functional. For example, if additional support or improvements need to be made to the building for the cooling system to operate properly and safely, such support and improvements should be identified in the proposal. Proposals should identify when the contractor could start the project and how will long it will take to complete. Owners understand start and completion dates in proposals may be approximations. Owners are hoping to have the cooling system operational at some time in the Summer of 2025. If an applicant seeks to do a site visit of the Hive prior to submitting its proposal, please contact Kasey Wright to schedule a time. It is highly recommended that applicants do a site visit of the Hive before submitting a proposal. Owners have limited funds for this project. Owners are seeking a cooling system that can be installed and operational for Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000) or less. Qualifications for Applicant :A qualified applicant must be a licensed contractor qualified to install cooling systems in government buildings in the State of Utah Proposals should be concise and clear in their presentation. All proposals should contain the following information: - Personal/Entity Information Applicant's legal name, address, and telephone number Description of the applicant's experience in providing the services set forth in the General Scope of Services Contractor's license number Proof of general liability insurance - Applicant References Applicants may provide up to three (3) references.
