CEBAF Renovation and Expansion (CRE) ARC Building Project Value: $40,000,000 Project Size: 116,881 SF Project Description: The project is a High-Performance Sustainable Building project consisting of interior and exterior renovations to the ARC building, a 7-story brick office building with a 3-story brick lab wing containing University tenants. The renovation includes all associated site work. The floor plan will be reconfigured to accommodate new offices, flexible workstations, conference rooms, and a Visitor Center. New finishes, HVAC, and lighting systems will be installed. Restrooms will be upgraded with new fixtures and finishes. Elevators will be upgraded, and access control systems will be integrated into the building security system. The building exterior renovation will include new lighting, sealing of the building fenestration, installation of a geothermal well field under an existing parking lot, installation of geothermal mechanical support systems, and re-paving of the existing parking lot. Existing building to be occupied during renovation. Project to include phasing to maintain occupancy.
