Commercial General Liability Insurance: Without restricting the generality of Section 5 - Indemnity hereof, the Contractor shall maintain, at its expense, Commercial General Liability Insurance acceptable to NLHC to protect NLHC against all liabilities or damages in respect of injuries to persons (including injuries resulting in death) in the minimum amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000) with respect to the operations of the Contractor and/or its Sub-Contractors and in respect of damages to property arising out of performance of the Work. This insurance shall include NLHC and the occupant of the property as Additional Insured. The Contractor shall not commence any work until a Certificate of Insurance, obtained at the Contractor's expense, has been received and approved by NLHC as specified herein. 2. Automobile Liability Insurance: The Contractor shall also provide and maintain liability insurance in respect of the Contractor's owned licensed and leased vehicles in the minimum amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000). The Contractor shall submit to NLHC proof that such policies are in force. 3. All insurance policies shall contain an endorsement requiring notification of the Named Insured in writing, thirty (30) days prior to cancellation of any policy or material change, except in the event of non-payment where policy conditions dealing with termination will apply. NLHC is required by the Public Procurement Regulations under the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Procurement Act to apply a ten percent (10%) reduction to the pricing submitted by provincial suppliers for the purposes of evaluating pricing. This reduction will only be applied when the evaluation includes submissions from non-provincial suppliers. 1.1 General Provide all labour, material, equipment, superintendence, temporary facilities, and administration to perform the work outlined below and on the drawings attached hereto and forming part of the documents for this project. Project Description Work on this project includes, but is not limited to, the maintaining of the grassed areas as per Schedule "C". These areas are denoted on the drawings as the areas colored in green on Schedule "E". 1.3 Outline of Work 0 1 The following outline is general and is not to be considered complete in every detail. 2 The work on this project shall consist of keeping the grass mowed and the edges trimmed, keeping it neat and tidy for the entire contract for the areas as specified in tender document. 1.2 1.4 SCOPE OF WORK 1 The work shall include the supplying of all labour, materials, equipment and services necessary for the execution and completion to NLHC satisfaction, for the price tendered of all packaged work described in the Tender/Contract documents and below; 2 To prevent any accidents and unnecessary scatter of litter, the Contractor, or their designate, is to do a thorough walkthrough of each location prior to each cut of the contract and remove any hidden debris and garbage (i.e. coffee cups, food wrappers, twigs, etc..) and dispose of at an approved dump site. .3 The contractor shall mow and rake (or use leaf blower on) all areas (identified in Schedule "C" and coloured in GREEN on the drawings in Schedule "E") while trimming edgings around buildings, fencing, poles, steps, etc.. and ensuring steps, sidewalks and pathways are clear of grass clippings. 4 Lawn mowing to commence on May 26, 2025. All areas are to be mowed every ten (10) consecutive days after the commencement until September 3rd, 2025. At this point, all lawn mowing to be done every fourteen (14) consecutive days until October 28th, 2025. The total number of cuts is to be fourteen (14) for all areas for the mowing season.
