Renovation of an educational facility in Payson, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Payson Unified School District is in Gila County serving our K-12 Community. This Project, Roofing Improvements at Payson Elementary School District, will be funded by the Division of School Facilities. Scope of Work: 1. Remove existing roofing assembly down to deck. 2. Remove all unused curbs, equipment/conduits as identified during mandatory job walk. 3. Install polyisocyanurate insulation (1 1/2-inch min.). See roof plans for depth of insulation. Verify if insulation can be saved prior to roof demolition of each section. 4. Fully adhere 1/2-inch recovery board insulation in type IV asphalt. 5. Fully adhere factory tapered insulation as required to create a minimum 1/4-inch of positive slope in Type IV asphalt. 6. Install perlite cant strips at all 90-degree angles. 7. In field, fully adhere one ply of 80 mil SBS modified smooth surfaced membrane with specified tensile and tear strengths in Type IV asphalt. 8. In field, fully adhere one ply of 115 mil (minimum) modified surfacing membrane with specified tensile and tear strengths in Type IV asphalt. 9. Over smooth surfaced base flashing ply, fully adhere one ply of 60 mil fleece back KEE/PVC thermoplastic membrane in low rise adhesive/bonding adhesive/Type IV asphalt. Type IV asphalt can only be used for base flashings up to 12-inches. 10. Strip in base flashing membrane to field surfacing membrane with asphalt mastic, reinforced with fiberglass mesh; broadcast granules into top layer of asphalt mastic. 11. Install new metal flashings, including but not limited to drip edge, copings, metal expansion joint/area divider caps, counter flashings, slip flashings, scuppers, lead jacks, lead at drains, and pitch pans/covers. 12. Properly support all conduit, gas lines and any other roof top lines to complete the roof with UV resistant 100% recycled rubber and galvanized supports blocking. 13. Spray 2.5 gallons per square of high build modified acrylic white coating to surfaced membrane, base flashings, pipe penetrations, and miscellaneous areas; application must be applied in two coats in cross-hatch manner.
