The purpose for this RFP is to have interested and qualified professionals provide a proposal providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, and reports required to seal cracks, repair potholes, seal coat and strip (line paint) parking lot. Preparation: Preparation prior to sealcoating the entire area will be swept and cleaned of all debris with commercial blowers. Oil spots will be cleaned and primed as necessary Power edge all grass away from edges of asphalt as necessary Block off work areas while conducting work. Repair Potholes, Cracks, Joints Saw cut and remove damaged asphalt identified as potholes and/or pavement separation Remove any debris, dirt, vegetation, or loose material Grade and compact the base: Ensure the base is level and compacted to the required specifications. Add asphalt top course to be flush with existing surface. Superpave Asphalt mixture Design, HMA Wearing Course, PG 64-22,0.0 to < 0.3 Million ESALS, 9.5 MM Mix, SRL-L, or equivalent which meets or exceeds all requirements. Seal all joints and cracks with asphalt sealant Sealcoat Apply commercial grade coal tar pitch emulsion or equivalent which meets or exceeds all the requirements of ASTM D5727/Federal Government Spec RP-355E. Sealer should not be applied unless pavement temperature is at least 50 degrees F, and the air temperature is 50 degrees F and rising. Sealer should not be applied during rainy or wet weather. Striping: Striping - layout and stripe all original stalls and pavement markings using paint that meets or exceed Federal Specification TT-P-1952E for Paint, Traffic and Airfield Marking Restripe parking lot according to existing layout after sufficient curing time All lines will be approximately 4 inches wide. They should be straight and uniform in appearance Layout markings using guidelines, templates and forms stencils professional made to industry standards Protect adjacent curbs, walks, fences and other items from receiving paint.
