As of August 4, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Bidder must be an Alabama General Contractor licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors for Alabama pursuant to Alabama Code Section 34-8-1, et seq. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed prior to the date of bid opening will be considered. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price, as shown on the proposal form, which shall be made payable to Owner and shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the RFP. A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. This project is anticipated to be financed through a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and will be subject to all FAA requirements. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of bid opening.
