Reference Number 0000292650 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/05/06 03:00:00 PM CDT Quality Assurance (QA) Services The Thompson Regional Airport is located in the Northern region of Manitoba and is within zones of discontinuous permafrost, which is causing differential substantial settlement of the Air Terminal Building (ATB) and adjacent infrastructure impacting the safety aerodrome operations. The TRAA secured funding from multiple agencies, including the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB), Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF), and the Province of Manitoba to design and construct a new ATB with accompanying infrastructure southwest of the existing facilities. The airside site works for the project has been funded by Trasport Canada through Airports Capital Assistance (ACAP) program. Avia NG has been requested by the Owner to provide design and construction administration services for the Airport Redevelopment Project. Maple Leaf Construction (MLC) was awarded the project as the General Contractor on July 3, 2024, to perform the construction. Groundside Infrastructure: Asphalt ring road and double terminal curb, including gravel shoulders and/or curb/gutter; Parking lot (asphalt and gravel surfaced) with concrete walkways, plug-in pedestals, lighting, and potential parking gate system; Loading dock outside of new ATB and future tenant lot grading; Gravel hangar road; Stormwater system and connections with supporting culverts and drainage ditch; Supporting electrical works and lighting; Pavement markings; and Airport security fencing in between the new landside and airside infrastructure. Airside Infrastructure: Aircraft parking apron (asphalt); Two taxiways (one gravel, one asphalt) and one provisional taxiway (asphalt); Airfield signage, edge light, pullpit and apron floodlights; Grading future tenants apron; Construction of supporting airfield stormwater system connections with storm outlet and ditches, subdrains, and catchbasins for the new apron and taxiways; Refurbish existing apron concrete panels for fill material and regrade with granular materials; Pavement markings for the new apron and stand, taxiway, and vehicle and pedestrian corridors.
