DEC Division of Lands and Forests staff in Region 4 are seeking a contractor to complete improvement work on a forest road on Rensselaerville State Forest that includes ditching, culvert installation, placement of road base material, surfacing, and minor tree cutting. The project is located off CCC Road and Scutt Road on Rensselaerville State Forest in the Town of Rensselaerville, Albany County, NY. See maps below for more location information. The scope of work consists of the following improvements to an existing forest haul road: ditching, new culvert installation, existing culvert resetting, and ripping, trucking, and installation of a base layer of shale obtained from a nearby shale pit on state land.
