Site work for a water / sewer project in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

PHA is seeking a qualified plumbing firm to provide turnkey water service line replacement in buildings of 1-6 residential units between the water main and meter. PHA has Scattered Site units in ten Asset Management Projects (AMPs) throughout the City of Philadelphia. a. Contractor will replace water lines at the buildings provided by PHA. A sufficient replacement of a water service line shall fully replace the entire water service line from the water main below the street to the meter inside the building, to efficient operation conditions without leaks or breaks in the 90 days after repair is complete. i. A water service line is the water service line, from the water meter inside a residential unit to the connection with the water main owned by the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) or with a private water main or common/shared line. b. For repair to be considered complete: Contractor shall refill, rake and reseed any unpaved area. Any holes made in residential unit foundation (including stone foundations) shall be resealed and repaired. Brick, standard concrete or asphalt private walkways and driveways will be restored with like material. Other private paved surfaces will be restored with asphalt. Public roadways, sidewalks, curbing and driveway aprons will be restored in accordance with City and/or State rules and regulations. c. Contractor shall make every effort to complete water line replacement with minimal impact to resident unit and PHA property. If soft landscaping, shrubbery or trees must be disturbed to complete replacement of water line, Contractor will reinstall the landscaping. d. Contractor shall warranty that water line replacement and any other repairs made will comply with applicable plumbing codes and manufacturer's specifications and be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of the repair; and that restoration of concrete or brick surfaces will be free of defects in material and workmanship for two years from the date of the restoration. This warranty shall survive the cancellation of contract. The Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) was established in 1937 and is organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to develop, acquire, lease and operate affordable housing programs for low and moderate income residents of the City of Philadelphia. PHA is the fourth largest public housing authority in the United States and isthe largest housing agency in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PHA is one of 39 housing authorities across the nation that is designated Moving to Work (MTW). PHA provides homes to more than 29,800 residents under the Public Housing Program and over 45,000 authorized residents through the Housing Choice Voucher Program formerly known as Section 8. PHA maintains 65 developments, including 35 conventional sites, 16 tax credit sites, 12 alternatively managed entities, and 2 Project Based Voucher (PBV) sites spread across Philadelphia with over 9,300 units.
