As of May 14, 2025 the project, involving site work and paving, has been postponed and a new RFP will be issued next Thursday Grandview is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the re-asphalting of the Grandview School District parking lot and/or other asphalt areas. The selected contractor will be responsible for overlaying, removing and replacing the existing asphalt, ensuring proper grading, drainage, and compliance with all relevant regulations. The project includes: o Approx. 2595 tons 1 1/2" overlay of Surface Leveling Mix to be placed at a compacted thickness of 1" o 2,500 gallons of Tack Coat applied at a rate of 0.08 gal/Sqyd o 1,425 sqyds of excavation for new parking o 1,800 sqyds of Type 5 aggregate compacted at 6" thick o 2,300 sqyds of Coldmilling 3" thick or less o 565 sqyds of Depth Transitions o 375 square yards of Full Depth Removal o 375 sqyds of full depth pavement repair saw cut (for perimeter and internal saw cuts) o 405 tons of BP-1 to be placed at a compacted thickness of 4" o Line striping and markings for parking spaces, fire lanes, and pedestrian areas for existing and new approx 450 spaces. o Installation or repair of asphalt curbs approx. 200 LF o Proper cleanup and disposal of construction materials We appreciate your interest in working with Grandview School District and look forward to reviewing your proposals.
