Renovation of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Liquidated Damages: Five Hundred ($500) Dollars per Continuous Calendar Day and as set forth in the Construction. Effective December 30, 2024 all Contractors and Subcontractors must register with the Department of Labor. Please submit a copy of your Certificate of Registration when submitting your Bid. The SCA will only award a Contract upon receipt of the Certificate of Registration. Only those bidders who have been specifically invited by the SCA and are currently an active participant in the Mentor Program, are eligible to submit a bid and be awarded a contract under the referenced solicitation. In addition, attendance at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Walkthrough is for those that have been specifically invited only. Additionally, to be eligible for an award of the referenced work, the low responsive bidder must be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the SCA during the bid evaluation period, that all elements of the project necessary for successful completion of the project are included in its bi Gas Fitting or Electrical Trades and (except for HVAC) is licensed to do business in the CITY OF NEW YORK in that trade. Pursuant to the SCA's authorizing legislation, contracts will only be awarded to contractors prequalified by the SCA. If the Bidder is not prequalified at the time of the bid opening its bid will not be accepted. Please check all three (3) lists (disqualified, suspended, and otherwise ineligible) when conducting a search to obtain the complete prequalification status of a firm appearing on the SCA's Website at online. Bidders can ensure their eligibility for contract award by verifying that they are currently prequalified. The Contractor shall pay to the SCA as liquidated damages the sum of Five Hundred ($500) Dollars for each and every continuous calendar day that the Work shall not be completed after the above-stated Completion date or any authorized extension thereof. In connection with its Bid, the Contractor provided an appropriate bid bond/certified check, in the amount of five (5%) percent of its Bid Amount. Immediately upon receipt of Notice of Intent to Award Letter/Signature Page to the Construction Contract, the successful Bidder shall furnish to the SCA and maintain during the term of the contract, at its own cost and expense a Construction Performance Bond in an amount at least equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price as security for faithful performance of the Contract; and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount at least equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract price for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under the contract or furnishing materials in connection with the Contract. The surety on such bonds shall be a company authorized to do business in the State of New York and approved by the SCA. Range: $500001-750000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The SCA, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to allow the apparent low bidder up to five (5) business days following SCA's notification, to meet the Solicitation's Apprenticeship Program requirements.
