**As of July 15, 2025, the project was awarded to Qualified Abatement Services, Inc., but the awarded amount is not available.** Background Operations and Demographics Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) provides a standard, traditional curriculum to a student body of approximately 50,000 students ranging from pre-kindergarten through the 12th grade. DPSCD also provides adult education at a variety of facilities during non-school hours. In addition to the standard curriculum, DPSCD offers a variety of specialized technical training programs for the higher-grade levels. The District encompasses an area of approximately 139 square miles. DPSCD operates 100 schools, including elementary (K-5), combination (K-8), middle schools, high schools, and technical center schools. Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) is seeking qualified environmental contractors to submit unit rate bids to perform the following environmental remediation/abatement activities including, but not limited to: abatement of asbestos-containing materials lead-based paint remediation/paint stabilization remediation of moisture/water (mold) damaged materials DPSCD is seeking up to two environmental contractors to perform remediation/ abatement services at various facilities throughout the district. Contractors will be assigned work on an as needed basis. The environmental contractors shall have sufficient manpower and supplies to facilitate normal operations as well as emergency, off-hour, weekend, and holiday work schedules. Contractors shall provide for on-site work scope investigations. The environmental contractor shall designate a supervisor for each project and supply DPSCD with a contact phone number for such a person. This supervisor shall have full authority and responsibility for contractor activities and must be on site during all work activities. The environmental contractor is to prepare unit rates for each of these services, which shall include all labor, materials, costs, including, but not limited to supervision, personnel, overhead, profit, equipment, direct costs, expenses, site visits, travel, applicable OSHA sampling and analysis, and work plans as requested and notifications (with revisions as needed).
