This RFP is an invitation by the City of Toronto to prospective Suppliers to submit bids for the Trunk Watermain (WM) 2025 Joint Optimization Study (JOS). The City and York Region are seeking a Supplier to update the JOS model, incorporating future growth scenarios to better align water infrastructure investments with projected growth. The Supplier will also perform long-term future scenario analyses, using population and employment projections from the Growth Study, as well as extrapolated data, to evaluate potential expansions of the water infrastructure over the next 80-100 years. This analysis will ensure timely upgrades, preventing the overburdening of resources. The study will focus on the trunk water systems of Toronto and York Region, utilizing advanced hydraulic modeling tools.
