Reference Number 0000385860 Questions are submitted online No The Town of Johnston is requesting qualifications from Engineering Teams that are interested in, and capable of providing planning and engineering design services for a stormwater management system for two areas: the Phase 2 Salina Avenue project consists of the southern Assapumpset Brook watershed as it flows from the general area of Poppy Hill Drive, to the area around Golini Drive, and then southerly and easterly though the neighborhoods on DiPonte Drive, Mulberry Circle, Belvedere Street, Truman Street, Lakewood Terrance and Salina Avenue and the Memorial Park drainage project consists of the land area around Memorial Park that drains through the park to the Pocasset River. The town may interview firms. If firms are selected for interview, they must send the team that will do the work to the interview. The team will be asked to discuss their experience and their approach to the work that we are contemplating. Based on the reviews of the submitted RFQs and/or the interview, if held, one firm will be selected to negotiate a contract. The contract will be presented to the Town Council at its June meeting for approval with work to commence the Monday after council award (June 16). Schematic design and plan must be completed by August 22, 2025 with discussions with RIDEM on overall concept and permitting requirements to follow. Based on satisfactory completion of the schematic stage, the Town will negotiate a contract for final engineering and construction inspection.
