Contractors shall be pre-qualified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and will be responsible for all construction safety practices, complete maintenance of traffic plans & implementation. All sub-contractors need to be KYTC prequalified at the time of entering a contract for the project. Attention is also called to the special condition of SECTION 00200; the requirement to achieve a DBE goal of 5%. Each sealed bid shall be accompanied by either a cashier's check or satisfactory bid bond, in a sum which is not less than five (5%) percent of the aggregate amount of the bid, payable to the City of Silver Grove.
