Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project. The total Contract Time will be 365 consecutive calendar days, and the liquidated damages will be $500.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter. Special Damages: In addition to the amounts provided for liquidated damages, expenses, and other losses, Contractor, in the event of such default, shall pay to the Owner the actual costs, expenses, and other losses reasonably incurred by the Owner. A Bid Bond or a Certified Cashier's Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid price is required. Bid Security: Each bidder must deposit with their proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of their bid, payable to Madison County, Mississippi, as bid security. Performance and Payment Bonds: The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. Minority and Women's Business Enterprises: Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to inquire regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material, and/or supply needs.
