Site work and renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Design plans call for the renovation of a 182,323-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.
The Metropolitan Council is soliciting proposals for Material Management Warehouse Facility Design Services at a COUNCIL owned property. The property is located at 755 Industrial Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. The recommended design and build-out will allow the Council to meet its current operational needs. Scope will consist of the design and construction support services to build-out this building. – Warehouse area will utilize approx. 170,000 SF consisting of pallet racking, automated parts storage systems, open work areas, and miscellaneous equipment storage – Office area will utilize approx. 12,000 SF consisting of individual offices, cubicles, workstations, breakroom, kitchen, conference rooms, along with miscellaneous support rooms – Exterior Improvements will consist of creating an outdoor break area, a trash and recycling area, covered parking area, and reviewing feasibility of installing solar panels and geothermal systems The Council intends to award one (1) contract, and these services will be provided over a three-year period. As of October 31, 2025, architect selected. Concept design February 2026. Full design under contract 25P078 Summer 2026. Construction, including support services 2026-2027.
