Bidders may bid on one or both lines (one line for each state park). Award will be made on the per line (lot) basis. A.SCOPE OF WORK #1: Claytor Lake State Park (area to be sprayed is approximately 32 acres) See Attachment D for Map of Area Claytor Lake State Park is located at 6620 Ben H Bolen Drive, Dublin, VA 24084 in Pulaski County, Virginia. 1.Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, materials, and chemicals necessary to treat approximately 12 (twelve) acres (as depicted in Attachment D) within Claytor Lake State Park. 2.Contractor shall use all necessary practices to maintain the existing general appearance of the Park. A 50 (fifty) foot buffer shall be observed around the shoreline and wet areas within the treatment area. 3.Contractor shall treat all Wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius), Barberry (Berberis thunbergia), Tree of Heaven (ailanthus altissima), Autumn Olive (Elaegnus umbellate), Multiflora Rose (Rosa multiflora), and Paulownia (Paulownia tomentosa) stems of all sizes within the treatment area. 4.Contractor shall use appropriate herbicide(s) labeled to treat and kill the targeted species in accordance with the product label relating to herbicide concentration, application method and time of application. 5.Contractor shall use all safety and personal protective equipment as required by the product label. 6.Contractor is responsible to provide and post signs/caution tape to let those who may visit the area know that spraying is taking place and/or has taken place. 7.Contractor shall NOT spray for Wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius) during fruiting. 8.Contractor must agree to return and respray any areas that were missed 4-8 weeks after application at no additional cost to the agency. TIMEFRAME/PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Work must be scheduled with DCR's representative no later than 7 (seven) days After Receipt of Award (ARO). Spraying for Wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius) shall take place during the period May 1, 2024 through June 10, 2024. Spraying for Autumn Olive (Elaegnus umbellate) shall take place during the period of May 1, 2024 through June 10, 2024. Dates must be arranged with the project manager prior to beginning work. DCR requests an invoice immediately upon completion of the work to ensure payment is made prior to the completion of FY2025. ORDERING OPTION: The Department of Conservation and Recreation, may during the first sixty (60) days after this contract is awarded, with the concurrence of the contractor, place additional orders under the contract at the original unit price through the issuance of separate purchase orders. The aggregate of such additional orders shall not exceed 100% of the quantity originally stated in the contract.
