Work items include, but are not limited to: earth excavation, pavement removal, placement of aggregate base course, installation of hot-mix asphalt binder and surface courses, selective removal and replacement of sidewalks, removal and replacement of curb and gutter, landscape restoration, wetland planting. storm sewer installation and abandonment, and associated utility relocations. All construction activities are located within the City of Prospect Heights. Pre-Qualification: Yes Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, made payable to the City of Prospect Heights. The City of Prospect Heights (City) expressly reserves the right to remove from or add to the project any portions thereof included in the Apple Drive, Plaza Drive, Palwaukee Plaza, and Crabapple Drive Storm Sewers. Such reductions, if any, shall be made in writing by the City prior to execution of the Contract Documents. Any reduction in the scope of work required by the City prior to the execution of the Contract Documents shall not result in an adjustment to the contract or to the price originally bid The project detention pond expansion is located at the Willow trails Park, and the storm sewer work is located at various locations surrounding the park including along Apple Drive, within the River Trails Condo Association Parking Lot, and within the Palwaukee Plaza Parking Lot. The detention pond expansion work is located at Willow Trails Park (1 Apple Dr, Prospect Heights, IL 60070), and the storm sewer installation is located on Apple Drive and runs through the Palwaukee Plaza (604 N Milwaukee Ave, Prospect Heights, IL 60070), as well as the River Trails Condo Association (811 Apple Dr, Prospect Heights, IL 60070).
