A single prime bid will be received for General Construction Work. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder at must furnish to the School District a Performance Bond and a separate Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the bid, as required by the "Public Works Contractors' Bond Law of 1967" and in a form acceptable to the Owner. This project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing A/ Wage Act, Act No. 442 as amended and the Davis-Bacon Act. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date established for receipt of bids. It is anticipated that the project will be awarded around May 12, 2025. If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the construction of the Work is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Contract Documents or finds discrepancies in or omissions from any part of the Contract Documents, they may submit to Kevin Kritsberg at the Gettysburg Area School District a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof not later than seven (7) days before the bids will be opened.
