The City of Grand Rapids is seeking bids for As-Needed Hazardous Materials Abatement and Demolition Services at VARIOUS FACILITIES. This work consists of the various abatement and demolition services at various City facilities. Abatement to include: fireproofing abatement, floor tile and mastic removal, pipe elbows and wrap abatement, mechanical equipment cleaning or demolition, building or mechanical equipment paint removal, interior construction water damage removal, any and all suspect materials, responsible for temporary enclosures, hire 3rd party for air monitoring and clearance as directed, responsible for all State of Michigan notifications. Demo to include: selective demolition in occupied and non-occupied spaces, floor removal, concrete removal, masonry, metals & miscellaneous metal systems, typical interior building components, system furniture, mechanical systems, process equipment, electrical systems, responsible for all State of Michigan notifications. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest.
