Renovation of a municipal facility in Towson, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

This Section outlines the scope of work included in the roof replacement project at the DLLR Building 300 East TownstownBlvd. Baltimore, MD 21286. Referto the appropriate specification section for further information about installation methods and components to be provided. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items 1. Remove and dispose of existing roofing systems and components, including membrane, insulation, base sheets, flexible and metal flashings, and associated materials and components. Remove/Lift rooftop units as needed to remove and install the new roof system and reinstall/place the existing rooftop units. 2. Repair or remove and replace existing deteriorated wood decking. 3. Provide wood blocking at perimeter edges, walls, fascia's, and penetrations. 4. Provide new multi-layered insulation systems throughout the roof areas, 5. Provide new plywood backing at all parapet walls for proper base flashing installation. 6. Provide adhered thermoplastic membrane roofing system, base flashings, stripping's, and associated components. 7. Provide walk pads from roof access to and around all mechanical equipment. 8. Provide perimeter and penetration sheet metal flashings and counterflashing's and miscellaneous sheet metal fabrications. Comply with all the Roofing System Manufacturer's details for all penetrations, curbs and flashings. 9. Provide roof drain assembles at existing drain locations, leader piping and extensions at exiting vent pipes. 10. Scrap and paint the existing metal billboard/barrier with weather resistant/exterior to match the existing one. 11. This project will required the use of a crane for delivery and removal ofany and all trash, existing roof debris and new roofing components. The scope of work included in the roof replacement project at the DLLR Building 300 East Townstown Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21286. Work shall be completed within 180 calendar days from start date of contract. After opening bids, the Procurement Officer may request bidders to extend the time during which the State may accept their bids, provided that, with regard to bids, no other change is permitted. Alternates as applicable, is in excess of $100,000.00. 1) Bid Bond in the amount of 5% 2) Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% The work shall be completed within 180 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquated damages of $ 350.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions". The base bid shall include without limitation, labor, materials, bailing, shoring, removal, overhead, profit, insurance (including builder's risk insurance, if applicable) etc.
