Installation of new air cooled chiller plant to serve the Fine Arts Building and campus currently served by existing chiller plant. Upon the Effective Date of the Contract, bidder agrees to commence all Preconstruction Activities. Upon issuance of a Proceed Order, bidder agrees to commence physical activities on the Site with adequate forces and equipment and to complete to Material Completion all work in 365 consecutive calendar days beginning the day after the date of the Proceed Order. A. Scope of demolition and removal work is shown on drawings. B. Installation of new air cooled chiller plant to serve the Fine Arts Building and Dormitories currently served by existing chiller plant. C. Construction of new chiller yard with screen wall. D. Removal of existing chillers, cooling towers, and associated pumps serving Fine Arts Building. E. Grading and site prep for new chiller yard. F. Electrical scope associated with the installation. G. Make other improvements as noted on the Drawings. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty-five days after time has been called on the date of opening except in accordance with the provisions of Georgia law. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bondmade payable to the Owner in an amount equal to not less than five percent of the Bid. Both a performance bond and a paymentbond will be required, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum prior to execution of contract. The Owner reserves the right in its sole and complete discretion to waive technicalities and informalities.
