Demolition, site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Valdosta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Project consists of: Demolition/ removal of all existing metal roofing, roof trim, soffit and facia. Demolition/ removal of all existing wood rafters, purlins, nailers and blocking. Removal of gas heaters and gas piping to limits indicated on drawings (cap/ seal gas piping to remain). Demolition of existing fiberglass ceiling insulation and complete removal of acoustical tile ceiling. Cleaning/ preparation, rust/ corrosion from steel roof purlins, trusses, and connection plates to remain. Cleaning/ preparation, rust/ corrosion removal from corrosion damaged wall girts and girt connection plates. Replacement of required wall girt connection plates at severe corrosion damaged materials. Removal and replacement of all loose or missing bolts and rivets at bracing connections at bottom cord of roof trusses. Upon completion of aforementioned items, new steel roof purlins and bottom cord x-bracing shall be installed as indicated. Final priming and painting of repaired structure shall be performed before new roofing system is installed. Upon completion of new roofing installation, roof and upper sections of walls shall receive spray foam insulation as specified to provide a complete insulated envelope. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after time has been called on the date of opening. A Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid payable to the "Lowndes County Board of Commissioners" must accompany bids. The Bid Bond shall be issued by a company authorized to do business in the State. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. Qualified contractors shall be commercial general contractors licensed to provide contracting services in Lowndes County, Georgia. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
