Colonial Beach Public Schools invites sealed proposals from licensed and qualified contractors to renovate the front entrance and main offices of Colonial Beach High School. Questions regarding the IFB must be received in writing by email, on or before May 20, 2025 no later than 12:00 pm. Colonial Beach Public Schools will not be bound by verbal responses to questions. CONTRACT TERM Contract Term will be from the date of Notice to Proceed to February 28, 2026 Colonial Beach Public Schools invites sealed proposals from licensed and qualified contractors to renovate the front entrance and main offices of Colonial Beach High School. The goal of this project is to enhance the current entrance's visual appeal and student safety by installation of an updated facade and a remodel of the current office footprint into one suited for today's school administration needs. Consisting of approximately 3,000 square feet of total scope, including a 300 square foot addition to Colonial Beach High School, to a Type IIIB and Group E Occupancy the project includes selective demolition, new interior partitions and front office configuration, as well as Glu-Lam addition of entry vestibule and covered porch. Colonial Beach Public Schools intends to award to one Contractor but expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received, and to award a bid to be in the best interests of Colonial Beach Public Schools. Bids shall be based on the drawings and specifications provided by Ashley McGraw. CBPS will accept proposals from all Virginia Licensed, Class A Contractors qualified under the terms of the enclosed Documents. Any contract awarded as a result of this Invitation to Bid shall be bound by the General Construction Terms and Conditions.
