Runway Micro-Surfacing and Striping at Jonesville Municipal Airport (L32). The scope of work for this Project includes removal of airport pavement markings, cleaning and sealing of asphalt joints and cracks, application of a thermoplastic coal tar emulsion Micro-Surface, and application of painted airport pavement markings. Each bidder must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid price, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid bonds shall be written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements noted in L.R.S. 38:2218. Sureties used for obtaining Bonds must appear as acceptable on the Department of Treasury Circular 570 and comply with other specified requirements included involved in the Instruction to Bidders. This contract is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act (DOL 29 CFR Part 5), as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids for just cause. Such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the L.R.S. In accordance with Louisiana Revised Statutes 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements stated in the bidding documents shall not be considered as informalities and shall not be waived. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the ENGINEER. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents.
