The existing ground power units at Terminals Two and Four are outdated and insufficient to meet the projected power requirements of the aircraft serviced at these terminals. In the event there is technical difficulty using OpenGov, contact OpenGov through email: procurement-support@opengov.com All questions must be submitted The Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA) is a joint-powers authority (JPA) formed between the City of Ontario and San Bernardino County as a public agency in Southern California. The OIAA Commission consists of five appointed members. The OIAA is the owner and operator of Ontario International Airport (ONT). ONT is a medium hub airport serving more than 6.4 million passengers per year and is a major air cargo facility in Southern California, with more than 750,000 tons being carried to and from the airport each year. The bid/proposal must be accompanied either by a check certified by a responsible bank, or a cashier's check issued by a responsible bank, or a corporate surety bond of a responsible surety company for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, payable to the order of the Ontario International Airport Authority, as a guarantee that the bidder/proposer to whom the contract is awarded will enter into the proposed contract and furnish the required bonds and as liquidated damages for any loss which may accrue from failure to do so; such payment, however, not to preclude recovery by OIAA or any amount over and above said sum to which OIAA sustains damage by reason of such failure or refusal. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by such check or bond. General Counsel before the contractor may begin work on each subsequent contract year. The annual Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds shall be for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the annual contract amount. Each of the annual Performance and Payment bonds must be issued by a surety who is authorized to issue bonds in California. Liquidated Damages are the specified dollar amount the Proposer/Contractor shall pay to the OIAA due to the Proposer/Contractor's failure to complete the Work within the Work Completion Time or Contract Milestones. If Acceptance of the Work has not occurred on or before any of the Milestone Completion Dates, OIAA will assess Liquidated Damages, as it is and will be impractical and extremely difficult to ascertain the actual damages that OIAA will sustain in the event of and because of such delay. If time limitations for any element/phase of work are not met, Liquidated Damages may be assessed at $5000 per calendar day. Remove and replace existing Ground Power Units on existing bridges - 22 - 90kVA - 2 - 180kVa The successful Bidder will be expected to complete the requested scope, at and under the Authority's direction, to Furnish and Install Aircraft 400 Hz Ground Power Units in Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. The work shall include scope confirmation, shop drawings, and permitting. Construction work under this contract shall include fabrication, delivery, removal and disposal of existing units, installation, testing, and acceptance of Passenger Boarding Bridge mounted Ground Power Units at Twenty-Two (22) Narrow Body Group III and Regional Jet Gates, and Two (2) Wide Body Group IV and V Gates, by Attachment A-Plan View and Equipment Schedule. Proposer shall inspect the existing electrical service at each Gate and confirm that the new Ground Power units are compatible with the existing electrical service. Proposer shall be responsible for reestablishing all power and communication connections to the proposed unites to provide a complete and operable installation. Bidder shall be responsible to ensure that the equipment and installation meet all applicable Local, State, and Federal codes and ordinances.
