The estimated cost of construction for the project is approximately $600,000 which includes the following scope of work: Schedule A includes road improvements along Sultan Basin Road from US 2 to the Daisy Brook development consisting of edge grind and overlay, pavement markings, and associated project restoration as shown on the Contract Plans. This project is funded by the State of Washington Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) Grant. Schedule B includes road improvements and along Mann Road from US 2 to the bridge excluding the railroad crossing, consisting of edge grind and overlay, pavement markings, and associated project restoration as shown on the Contract Plans. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Sultan. The City retains the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days after the hour and date of the bid opening.
