Sanitary Sewer System Improvements - Phase 1. Sanitary Sewage will be conveyed to the existing East Side pump station by the new separate sanitary sewer. Construct a new separate sanitary sewer alongside the existing combined sewer that conveys wastewater to the existing East Side CSO Facility of the City. Upon project completion, the existing combined sewer system will remain as a storm sewer only. Sanitary Sewage will be conveyed to the existing East Side pump station by the new separate sanitary sewer The City of Shelbyville is implementing a program aimed at minimizing Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs). Sanitary sewer installation, rehabilitation, combined sewer separation. and associated work activities completed under this Contract will serve to improve the sanitary sewer system operation. The Work will include, but is not limited to, the following: Easement access route building and easement access clearing. Erosion Control. Site Restoration resulting from providing access to assets, including but not limited to removing and/or replacing pavement, hardscape & landscaping features. Installation of new sanitary sewer pipe using conventional open cut methods. Open cut replacement of service laterals from mainline to edge of ROW or easement. Installation of clean outs. B) Perform all work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
