WORK DESCRIPTION This project is needed to upgrade the structural conditions of the secondary sewers and remedy various deficiencies in the sewer collection system. The Secondary Sewer Plan Reports for the sewer basins of A05, W33, and Z28 were produced by LA Sanitation in 2016 and reevaluated in 2019. These reports identified the need to renew the sewers with the structural Condition D within these sewer drainage basins. The project will renew 37 sewer reaches, approximately a total of 9,202 reach-feet (1.80 miles) within the above-mentioned sewer basins. The scope of work includes removal and replacement of 982 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch sewers including Difficult Access Reaches (DARs); spot repair of 187 LF of 8-inch and 10-inch sewers; rehabilitation of 750 LF of 8-inch sewers; reconnection of 65 existing house connections including DARs. In addition, three (3) new Maintenance Holes (MHs) will be installed; two (2) existing MHs will be remolded. Street restorations and traffic control are also part of the scope of the project.
