The proposed work generally includes the following: Provision of a new 4'x8' precast concrete box culvert, approximately 38 feet, with end sections along with related grading, street repair and all related work in conformance with the project documents and online material specifications. Schematic plans may be provided. Field verification and adjustment will be required with work coordinated with the project engineer. Bidders are informed that all contractors are subject to full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, and it is not the intent of the owner to arbitrarily dismiss any authorities. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents shall be submitted to OWNER in writing. Replies will be issued by addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date of opening of bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications are not binding and are subject to modification or retraction. Wage rates paid on construction work for this project shall be at least equal to the prevailing wage rates as specified in the project documents and determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. The Contractor and his subcontractors will be obligated not to discriminate in employment practices. Proposals must be on forms provided and all unit price bids, extensions and totals thereon shall be completed fully. Each bidder shall file with his bid a bidder's bond for 5 percent of the total amount of the base bid made payable to the City.
