The Village of Rock Springs will receive sealed bids for the 2025 Smythe Street Paving and Repairs. The work for which bids are asked on Smythe street includes fine grading and compacting road base and paving a single lift mat of 4LT 58-28 S surface course @ a minimum of 3inches thick approximately 2,480-feet long by approximately 21-feet wide of previously constructed rough graded surface including a driveway approach and tie ins with current pavement on each end, finish rolled with a steel drum vibratory roller. Bids will include, (If applies) the adjustment of water boxes with metal risers @ bidders' price per W/B, adjustment of manholes with metal risers @ bidders' price per manhole. If any water boxes or manholes are present, they are to be flush with finish paved surface. Any incidental work necessary to complete the project will be included in the bid. Contractor is responsible for any traffic control necessary. Gravel or Black dirt/shouldering we be the responsibility of the village. (Any deviation of the above-mentioned materials may be discussed with VORS officials). The work for Smythe street will begin at the end of the newer pavement on the south end of Smythe street and continue north up the hill to the village limits line. Request for extension may be considered pending suitable conditions. No bid proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certificate of insurance. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. A portion of this project is funded by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP). The Village Board reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
