Bids for the demolition of the building located at end of Pack Street (Commonly known as the "the Old Coast Guard Garage") in Harbor Beach. Contractor will be sought for the following project scope items: 1.) Safely remove hazardous material from the building (if any found) and disposing of it in a proper fashion. Documentation of disposal methods will be required. 2.) Demolition protocol and disposal criteria for buildings with hazardous material will have to be followed. 3.) Safely remove building in its entirety, including foundations from site. Contractor must take steps to ensure project is completed safely and that adjacent property is not damaged in the process. Site must be protected from the public by means of fencing. 4.) All unwanted vegetation must be removed from site. To be determined by Code Officer. 5.) Dust suppression must be provided during the demolition process and debris removal. 6.) All debris must be hauled to an approved landfill and verification must be provided to the City of Harbor Beach. Clean concrete may be recycled. 7.) The lot must be brought up to grade with compacted 22A gravel, 22A limestone or crushed concrete. 8.) Shoreline must be stabilized with geotextile fabric or similar material and lined with 4" x 8" and 4" x 12" limestone up to grade. 9.) Contractor will be required to provide proof of insurance (1 million dollars) and name the City of Harbor Beach as additionally insured. 10.) Water and sewer lines need to be disconnected and capped with DPW supervision. 11.) All necessary permits (City and County) must be obtained by contractor. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
