Renovation of a fire / police facility in Lake Forest, Illinois. Design plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The City of Lake Forest (“City”) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms based on the criteria/requirements outlined in this Request for Proposal (“RFP”). The intent of this RFP is to contract with a professional architecture/design firm with expertise related specifically to providing design services for the renovations of the City’s existing Public Safety Building, 255 W Deerpath, Lake Forest, IL 60045, for the Fire Department. The existing facility currently contains both the Police and Fire Departments. The Police Department is anticipated to leave the existing Public Safety Building to a new facility in September 2026. The existing Public Safety Building will then be solely occupied by the Fire Department. As of October 14, 2025, a design team has not been identified. Design began June 17, 2025. Design to be complete by May 7, 2026. CMAR bids post 5/20/26 and due 6/17/26. July 21, 2026, seek city council approval of selected firm.
