Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Borough of Conshohocken is performing roadway rehabilitation along Harry Street between 8 th Avenue and 11 th Avenue. A portion of the funding for this project will be provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Economic Development (DCED) Multimodal Transportation (MTF) Grant Program. The project will consist of the regrading of the intersections of Harry Street and 9 th,10 th ,and 11 th Avenues. The scope of construction items includes roadway resurfacing and intersection drainage improvements along Harry Street, the removal of subsurface drainage pipes and their replacement with asphalt swales to convey water through the intersections, which will include the full depth reconstruction of the intersections. The project also includes construction of new ADA compliant curb ramps, pavement mill and overlay resurfacing, asphalt pavement base repairs, installation of new pavement markings, and incidental restorations. The work also includes mobilization, maintenance and protection of traffic and erosion and sediment controls, as necessary to perform the work. The scope of work is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein and on the Construction Details. 1.02 Project Location A. The project is located within the municipal limits of the Borough of Conshohocken in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, as shown on the project plans. The limits of construction are as follows: 1. Harry Street from 8th Avenue to 11th Avenue. The work for the Base Bid includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major work and contract items: . Mobilization, maintenance, and protection of traffic (both vehicular and pedestrian), and temporary erosion and sediment controls as required to perform the work. . Concrete Improvements. . Replacement of concrete curb ramps with ADA compliant curb ramps where indicated on plans, including roadway and landscaping restoration.. Replacement of concrete driveway aprons with 6i thick reinforced concrete where indicated on the project plans. c. Replacement of concrete sidewalk and curbs where indicated on the project plans or as directed by the Engineer. 3. Pavement Reconstruction. a. Excavate to required depths to meet proposed grades and for proposed asphalt swales. b. Remove, and properly dispose of existing pipe gutters that pass under portions of each intersection and associated metal plates. c. The Borough may retain some steel plates. The Contractor shall coordinate with Borough staff prior to disposal of steel plates. All questions during the bidding period must be submitted through PennBid A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Borough of Conshohocken, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each Bid. the Successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract value. Upon completion of the contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the final contract value.
