Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Hoover, Alabama. Completed plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The project will include a 22,000 square foot addition to the Hoover Public Safety Building and 35,500 square feet of renovations to existing areas on the second floor. This expansion will feature training rooms, an auditorium, additional office spaces, and common spaces and facilities to support the additional persons attending the NCFI. The design will also feature a separate and secure entrance to the NCFI training facility that completely separates and secures NCFIs space from other entities housed on the campus. A cashiers check or bid bond payable to the City of Hoover in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidders proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the contract. The Owner intends to award a single contract for this work to pre-qualified General Contractor(s). The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owners judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
