Question Deadline 05/19/2025 It is the intent of the Contract Documents to provide the requirements and specifications for the construction associated with the City of Vidor, GLO CDBG-DR - Archie Street - Road Improvements Project. Concrete pavement improvements to debilitated roadway pavement on Archie Street beginning at Garland Street and proceeding northward approximately 1,000 feet to W. Tram Road, along with roadside ditch regrading and culvert replacement along Archie Street and Garland Street The project scope includes but is not limited to: Acquire any necessary permits Install traffic control Mobilize and prepare site Remove existing asphalt and base roadway as shown in the plans Mix, Shape and compact existing subgrade Construct new reinforced concrete pavement Remove and replace storm sewers and driveways as shown in the plans Regrade ditches to the lines and grades shown in the plans Backfill pavement edges Clean up site A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for contracts greater than $100, 000,]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Vidor or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Vidor reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by The City of Vidor for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
