Site work and paving for a civil project in Anahuac, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Anahuac Drainage Improvements Project (project) is located along the southeast shore of Lake Anahuac within Chambers County, Texas. The project limits consist of the residential neighborhood generally bounded by Sulivan St on the north, North Ross Sterling Ave on the east, the Chambers-Liberty County Navigation District (CLCND) canal on the south, and Ed Hopkins St on the west. Requests for Bid Information Deadline- June 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM Storm Sewer Improvements - The project will install new storm sewer along North Texas Ave, Work St, and Main St (East of North Texas Ave) (East Main St), including new inlets, and an improved outfall to Lake Anahuac. The proposed storm sewer will improve conveyance of stormwater runoff from the local streets and neighborhoods to Lake Anahuac. Roadside Ditch Improvements - Regrading is proposed for roadside ditches along North Texas Ave from Canal St to Sulivan St, Work St, Main St, Hamilton St, and Houston St. The roadside ditch regrading will improve conveyance of stormwater runoff from the local streets to the new storm sewer along North Texas Ave, Work St, and East Main St. Street Improvements - The project will include pavement reconstruction and driveway replacements on North Texas Ave, Work St, and East Main St, sidewalk installation along Work St, Main St, Ed Hopkins St, Houston St, and North Texas Ave. Other major activities include: Clearing project site of any existing structures or unnecessary vegetation. Removal of existing pavement, sidewalk, and driveways. Protection and relocation of existing underground utilities (public and franchise) such as telecom, gas, electric, water, and sanitary needed to accommodate proposed infrastructure. Excavation and hauling for storm sewer installation, street reconstruction, chemical stabilization of subgrade, concrete and asphalt elements, stormwater inlets, and similar infrastructure. The project involves the construction of drainage and roadway improvements along N Texas Ave, Work St, and E Main St, as well as roadside ditch regrading along W Main St, Houston St, and Hamilton St. This includes removal and replacement of existing culverts and inlets; installation of storm boxes, manholes, inlets, and junction boxes; utility offsets; removal and replacement of existing roadway, driveways, and sidewalks. Any requests for bid information or questions regarding this solicitation for bids shall be submitted in writing via email to: George Barrera Chambers County Purchasing Agent Email: gbarrera@chamberstx.gov Section includes the summary of work, including work covered by the contract documents, work sequence, contractor use of premises, and owner occupancy information. o Provide the materials, equipment, and incidentals required to make the project completely and fully operable. o Provide the labor, equipment, tools, and consumable supplies required for a complete project. o Provide the civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and all other work required for a complete and operable project. o Test and place the completed project in operation. o Provide the special tools, spare parts, lubricants, supplies, or other materials as indicated in the contract documents for the operation and maintenance of the project. o The contract documents do not indicate or describe all work required to complete the project. Additional details required for the correct installation of selected products are to be provided by the Contractor and coordinated with the Owner. B. Owner may pre-select or pre-purchase goods for this project. Contractor may install these goods and coordinate the performance of specified special services with the Owner. Work of the contract generally includes: o Outfall: Construct wingwall structure at discharge [STA301+50], including grading and placement of riprap [STA300+00 to STA 301+55]. o North Texas Ave: Construct new storm pipe ranging in size from 10-ft x 6-ft RCB to 54-in RCP from discharge at Lake Anahuac [STA103+00] upstream along North Texas Ave to Canal St [STA126+41]. Construct new storm inlets and leads, remove and replace existing driveway crossing culverts, re-grade existing roadside ditches, remove and replace existing roadway pavement, and construct sidewalks. o Work St: Construct new 4-ft x 4-ft RCB storm sewer from interconnection with North Texas Ave trunkline [STA100+50] upstream to approx. STA107+50. Construct new storm inlets and leads, remove and replace existing driveway crossing culverts, re-grade existing roadside ditches, remove and replace existing roadway pavement from intersection with North Texas Ave to FM 563 [STA112+00], and construct sidewalks. o East Main St: Construction new 36-in RCP storm sewer from interconnection with North Texas Ave trunkline [STA100+50] upstream to approx. STA108+50. Construction new storm inlets and leads, remove and replace existing driveway crossing culverts, re-grade existing roadside ditches, remove and replace existing roadway pavement from intersection with North Texas Ave to FM 563 [STA111+65], remove existing sidewalk, and construct sidewalks. o West Main St, Houston St, Hamilton St, and Ed Hopkins St: Remove and replace existing substandard roadway and driveway crossing culverts by saw-cut or handexcavation as applicable to minimize width of existing pavement to be removed and replaced, re-grade existing roadside ditches to desilt and promote positive flows,remove existing sidewalk on West Main St, and construct sidewalks where indicated.
