Ventilation Hoods and Installation The Middlesboro Board ofEducation reserves the right tomake an award to an individual vendor and to reject any andall bids in whole or in part if inits judgement the best interestsof the schools are not being served. The lowest and/or best bidderswill be designated for contractpurposes subject to final agreement between the two parties. Remove existing 8-foot island-style exhaust hood, associated ductwork, rooftop exhaust fans, and fire suppression system. Safely disconnect and dispose of all existing components in compliance with local regulations. Furnish and install a new 8-foot island exhaust hood system complete with heated supply air and integrated fire suppression. Install approximately 6 feet of new exhaust ductwork from the hood to the roof. Install new rooftop exhaust fan and heated supply fan as needed. Heated supply air ductwork will be routed along the ceiling. Construct a framed enclosure around the exposed ducting and finish with drywall to match existing ceiling aesthetics. Complete installation of the new fire suppression system in accordance with all current codes and standards. All required electrical work, including new circuits and connections for the hood, fans, and fire suppression system, is to be included. All plumbing work necessary for the fire suppression system is to be included 4. General Requirements: All work must comply with local building, fire, and health codes. Contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary permits and coordinating all required inspections. Final installation must be tested and commissioned to ensure proper operation.
