Renovation of a water / sewer project in Cornwall, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Cornwall Booster Pump Station Electrical Upgrades The Project includes the following Work: This project includes electrical construction at the Borough's two (2) booster pump stations, Cornwall Road BPS and Borough Garage BPS. The work will include the replacement of the motor control center and automatic transfer switch at each booster pump station location. Temporary bypass pumping will be required for the duration of construction. Location- Cornwall Borough, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania Construction of new facilities and modifications to existing facilities as specified herein and as shown on the Drawings consisting of general, mechanical, electrical, and civil/site construction work including but not limited to the work itemized below. The Cornwall Borough hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received. Question Deadline 06/11/2025 at 4:00 PM ET Online Portal. Work of Contractors: 1. Includes but is not limited to: a. Division 00 - Bidding Requirements. b. Division 01 - General Requirements. c. Division 02 - Existing Conditions. d. Division 26 - Electrical. e. Division 31 - Earthwork. f. Division 33 - Utilities. g. Project Drawings. h. The work to be completed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment to the extent necessary for performing site preparation, demolition, excavation, restoration, electrical work, and all other items specified in the Contract Documents, or shown or indicated on the Drawings. i. The Contractor is responsible for the demolition of existing power lines as required. The Owner will pay directly for the power costs for temporary and permanent facilities at the site through the construction period. j. The Contractor shall provide temporary wiring and conduit to provide power and control to the temporary bypass pumping system. k. The Contractor shall furnish, install, and maintain any necessary temporary utilities or facilities required to maintain the temporary bypass pumping system in operation for the duration of construction. l. The Contractor is responsible for installing the wet tap connections and temporary bypass piping required for operation of the temporary bypass pumping system. m. The Contractor is responsible for the demolition of the existing motor control centers (MCCs) at the Borough Garage BPS and Cornwall Road BPS. n. The Contractor is responsible for the disposal of any equipment removed from both booster pump stations. Disposal of materials shall be coordinated with the Borough in the event the Borough desires to keep any parts. o. The Contractor will furnish and install two (2) new motor control centers (MCCs), one for the Borough Garage BPS, and one for the Cornwall Road BPS. p. The Contractor is responsible for restoring the site to existing conditions. q. Only one booster pump station can be offline at any given time. The temporary bypass system, as specified, can be utilized for both booster pump stations. Work of Others: 1. The Owner's System Integrator's (WBA Systems) work includes the following: a. Interface and oversight with vendors, Contractor, Engineer, and Owner. b. Provide temporary SCADA control to the temporary bypass pumping system at both booster pump stations. c. Assist with check-out, start-up, and commissioning of the temporary bypass pumping system at both booster pump station sites. d. Adjust SCADA program to assume complete control of equipment within MCC. Existing hardwired timers and relay logic are being deleted. e. Provide SCADA control and integration services for the new motor control center (MCC) and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) at both booster pump station sites. f. Provide sufficient termination diagrams for Contractor to land new control wiring from MCC in SCADA Panel. g. Assist with check-out, start-up, and commissioning of the new motor control center (MCC) and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) at both booster pump station sites. h. All work completed by the Owner's System Integrator will be completed under an Allowance in the Contract.
