Scope of Work: Phase 1A: Domestic Water Heaters This phase involves the installation of Domestic Water Heaters at Nash Correctional Institution. The work includes mechanical, electrical, general and control work associated with installing the Domestic Water Heaters as indicated in the Contract Documents. Phase 1B: Distributed HVAC Systems This phase involves the conversion of the heating and air conditioning systems in five (5) buildings at the Nash Correctional Institution, in Nashville, NC, from the existing hot water / chilled water systems to direct expansion (DX) systems. The buildings include Chapel, Gatehouse, Medical, Special Management Unit, and Vocational. The work includes indoor air handling units (AHUs and IDUs), outdoor heat pump units (ODUs), an energy recovery ventilator (ERV), seven (7) mechanical room exhaust fans, seven (7) refrigerant detection systems, two domestic water heaters, and all associated ductwork, refrigerant, natural gas and domestic water piping, insulation, electrical work, controls, and auxiliaries required for a complete installation. The work includes mechanical, plumbing, electrical, general and control work associated with installing the new systems as indicated in the Contract Documents. Phase 1C: Campus Natural Gas Distribution Piping This phase includes installation of 10 psi underground MDPE natural gas piping with risers for multiple buildings. Phase 1D:Install New Campus Hot and Chilled Water Distribution Piping This phase involves the installation of campus wide underground distribution piping, PP RCT - heat fused joints, pre-insulated underground and steel once in the buildings. SDR-9 multi-layer will be used for hot water, SDR-11 for chilled water at Nash Correctional Institution. The work includes mechanical, electrical, general, and control work associated with installing the new distribution piping as indicated in the Contract Documents. The meeting is also to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards that the owner will consider for approval on this project.
