Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mishawaka, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Project Description: The project consists of new storm sewer installation (up to 18-inch), CIPP lining of existing sanitary sewer (up to 12-inch), sanitary sewer lateral replacement, partial water main replacement, water service replacement, pavement reconstruction, new concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalk along with incidental construction on adjacent streets, and other pertinent work as described in the project documents. The contractor performing CIPP Lining shall be prequalified by the City of Mishawaka. The General Contractor shall be prequalified by INDOT to perform a minimum of one (1) work type applicable to this project. A certified check payable to the City of Mishawaka, Indiana or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and surety company, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish a separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one-hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of the contract price before commencing work. The Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall remain in effect throughout the entire construction period and in addition a Maintenance Bond in an amount of 10% for a period of three years from the date of final completion will be required. Each bidder shall be required to complete all documents listed in the Checklist for Bidders. Each bidder shall be required to complete the Bid Form included with these documents. There is an intermediate completion date of October 31, 2025, for the realignment of the Vistula and Oakley intersection (Phase 1). The substantial completed date for this project shall be October 31, 2026, and the final completion date shall be November 27, 2026. The Utility Board of the City of Mishawaka, Indiana, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding and to make an award in the best interest of the City. No bid or bid security may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days.
