The Scope of Work for this project shall include, but not limited to Base Bid 1. Replace the existing 100 kW, natural gas-fired, generator located on the north side of City Hall with a new 125 kW unit. The existing unit is a Cummins Model GGHH5697461; S# L040723260. The unit's electrical requirements are 120/208 volt 3-phase. The existing transfer switch and emergency distribution panels will be re-used. 2. Provide and install an emergency inverter and re-circuit emergency lighting in existing EM Panel 2. 3. Re-circuit Council Chamber lights from existing panel P-2 to the emergency panel in the basement below the Council Chambers. 4. Re-circuit the two (2) refrigerator/freezer receptacles in the Visual Arts kitchen from existing Panel 1 to EM Panel 2. The City is seeking a qualified entity or individual ("Company") to provide the services listed in the Scope of Work. The City anticipates selecting one Company to perform the services. Proposals are requested from Companies that have a demonstrated ability to perform the tasks identified in this Request for Proposal ("RFP"). The City is seeking proposals for the replacement of a 100 kW natural gas backup electric generator ("generator") serving City Hall at 540 W. Hills Cir., Owatonna, MN 55060, with a 125 kW unit and provide additional circuits with backup electric power. This RFP is not intended to be all-inclusive of the work required to complete the project and is to be used only to guide interested respondents in equitably submitting a proposal. Re-circuit the two (2) refrigerator/freezer receptacles in the Visual Arts kitchen from existing Panel 1 to EM Panel 2. Add Alternate Bid #1: 1. Provide new backup generator with a sound-attenuated, weather-protected enclosure. The new generator shall be manufactured by Cummins or approved equal. Provide and install the new unit with the following considerations: Install a new properly sized natural gas pressure regulator. Provide all power disconnections/connections. Provide any additional piping and/or accessories as detailed in the project plans and specification, equipment manufacturer's installation manual, and normal trade practices. All new pipe and fittings shall be cleaned before connection to the new system. All proposals shall be firm offers and may not be withdrawn for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days following the deadline date for submission of proposals noted herein. Submitted proposals may be withdrawn at any time prior to the submission deadline.
