Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Eureka, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
The scope of work for the Cal Poly Humboldt Aquatic Center Deck Rehabilitation Project includes the selective demolition and reconstruction of deteriorated structural components on the north and east exterior balconies. Work involves removing and replacing damaged glulam beams, joists, plywood decking, soffits, and steel guardrails, while retaining and reinforcing existing elements where feasible. New structural framing includes pressure-treated sheathing, concrete topping slabs, and upgraded ledger and hanger connections. The project includes installation of new fiber cement soffit cladding, waterproofing systems, and code-compliant steel picket guardrails. All work is to comply with current California Building Code standards. The Trustees require the successful bidder to achieve three percent (3%) DVBE participation in contracting construction projects as established in the bidding documents, Bidders must be prequalified with the Trustees and submit their prequalification applications no less than ten (10) business days prior to the bid due date of June 26, 2025. The Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities. The architects construction estimate (and the construction budget) for this project is not published.
