The City of Richmond (City) is a Charter City located in Contra Costa County, part of the San Francisco Bay Area. The City of Richmond provides a full range of municipal services including police and fire protection; construction and maintenance of highways, streets and infrastructure; library services; storm water and municipal sewer systems; operation of a wastewater treatment facility; and the administration of recreational activities and cultural events. The City of Richmond Public Works Department (Public Works Department) is responsible for operating, maintaining and improving critical municipal infrastructure and services. The Public Works Department's core responsibilities include street and roadway maintenance, parks and landscaping maintenance, traffic engineering and management, stormwater management, management and delivery of Capital Improvement Projects, fleet and equipment management, facilities maintenance, and emergency response and preparedness. The Public Works Department is requesting proposals from licensed and qualified general contractors (Contractor) to provide on-call, minor construction, and/or emergency services for the City. It is the City's intent to award multiple on-call general contractor services contracts for a not-to-exceed contract amount of $1,000,000 for three (3) years, with the option to extend the term of the contract for an additional two (2) years.
