As of July 8, 2025 project was awarded to Dig Dug Construction in the amount of $103,072.81 Hays County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 will accept sealed bids for the maintenance improvements of the Pecan Grove Park Pond. The work to be performed includes furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, and labor necessary for the removal of sediment to obtain original grade, removal of two gabion walls, installation on one gabion wall, refurbishing gabion mattress, 8" culverts and a trash rack. The maintenance improvements will also include installing two sedimentation markers and re-grading the pond's influent channel and lining it with a turf reinforcement mat. The pond is in Pecan Grove Park which is located between Longmont Ln and Aspen Dr. The work shall also include installation, maintenance and removal of erosion and sedimentation controls in accordance with the contract documents, and all local, state, and federal requirements. Performance, payment, and warranty bonds shall each be issued in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Amounts as security for all the CONTRACTOR's obligations under the Contract Documents. Bidders shall maintain insurance in the types and amounts indicated the Contract Documents. The OWNER reserves the right to waive all informalities and irregularities, and determine which Bids are most advantageous to the Project, and to award the Contract on this basis. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent (5%) of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a cashier's check made payable to Hays County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety. Bidders and subcontractors shall have completed at least three (3) similar projects in nature within the last five (5) years. All Work shall be guaranteed against defective workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years from the date of final acceptance by the OWNER.
