This project consists of all work associated with the unit price bid for rehabilitation of Cherry Street between S. East Street and S. Grand Avenue, including demolition of the existing street; curb and gutter replacement; demolition and reconstruction of existing drive approaches and sidewalks as necessary to achieve maximum slopes indicated by project details; excavation (3" below bottom of proposed gutter elevation (typ.)) to achieve specified final grade of flex base; placement and compaction of 6"-thick flex base; and, should the Owner decide to award the Additive Alternate, placement of 3"-thick Type D HMAC. Please note that this project is a re-bid, and some work will have already been performed by previous contract, including curb, gutter, and reconstruction of existing drive approaches and sidewalk between S. Vaden Street to the west and Grand Avenue to the east; as well as approximately 700 LF of existing street demolition beginning at S. Grand Avenue and measuring to the west. Asphalt previously placed by City between S. Gribble St. and S. Grand Ave. shall be removed by the City.
