Project is no longer needed.** Bids Are Invited for the Removal and Replacement of 8 Fire Hydrants, Each of Which Will Require Installing a New Isolation Valve With New Lead Pipe and Joint Restraints. Included Shall Be All Surface Restoration Associated With Performing the Work. The City of Pass Christian Will Provide the New Fire Hydrants to Be Installed as Well as Any Isolation Valves Identified as Being Required. Valve Boxes, Concrete Pads Around Valves as Well as All Labor and Incidentals Required for Construction Shall Be the Responsibility of the Contractor. Minority and Women's Business Enterprises Are Solicited to Bid on This Contract as Prime Contractors and Are Encouraged to Make Inquiries Regarding Potential Subcontracting Opportunities and Equipment, Material and/or Supply Needs. The City of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Reserves the Right to Consider the Following Relevant Factors in Addition to the Contract Price in Determining the Lowest and Best Bid: Bidder's Skill and Business Judgment, His Experience and His Facilities for Carrying Out the Contract, His Previous Conduct Under Other Contracts And the Quality of Previous Work, as Well as His Pecuniary Ability, Honesty, and Integrity. The City Also Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids or to Waive Any Informalities in the Bidding. Upon Award of the Contract, the Notice to Proceed May Not Be Issued for a Period of an Additional 90 Calendar Days, if Needed, Due to the Necessity to Maintain Access for the Adjacent Businesses Through the Intersection of East North Street and Menge Avenue. Surety Licensed Under the Laws of the State of Mississippi, in an Amount Equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid for "replacement of City Fire Hydrants-rebid" Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid.
