Site work for a water / sewer project in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The proposed project includes furnishing all materials, labor, tools, and services needed to install 10”x10” trimmed wood fillers on top of displaced concrete spacers in the bulkhead wall beneath the Seafood Processor’s Access Bridge. It also entails re-securing existing concrete spacers by fabricating and installing one set (consisting of two complete channel sections) at each location where an “All-Thread” connection exists above the water line on the concrete fillers, which are used to prevent wave action from entering the East Small Craft Harbor breakwater walls. The intent is to install one set of stainless-steel channel brackets on two connections above the water line. When submitting bids electronically, the requirements for sealed bids also apply and electronic bids must include a document representing the envelope cover meeting the specified criteria. Bidders must purchase non-refundable bid documents, register online, and are required to have a valid email address. A certified check, bank draft, or bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid must accompany each bid. The bidder's Certificate of Responsibility Number must be indicated on the outside of the sealed proposal, and a valid commercial contractor’s license from the Mississippi State Board of Contractors in the correct classification is required. All bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority owned businesses and women business enterprises. The City of Pass Christian reserves the right to consider experience, skill, business judgment, previous conduct, quality of previous work, financial ability, honesty, and integrity in addition to the contract price when determining the lowest and best bid, and may reject any or all bids or waive informalities. Non-resident bidders must submit a copy of their resident state's current laws on the treatment of non-resident contractors. Bids may be held for up to ninety days for review and qualification purposes before awarding the contract.
